Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. The Apple Support Procedures and Communications team has an opening for a procedures writer. This role requires the successful candidate to work closely with Apple Procedures Writers to edit procedural content for Apple Support Contact Center Advisors. You will work on documentation projects from simple to complex in this role.

Key Qualifications

  • Able to plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational and technical procedures
  • Ability to develop content optimized for localization/translation
  • Ability to develop content that meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0)
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable using text and imagery
  • Experience with content-development processes, methods, and principles
  • Use creative thinking and knowledge of industry best practices to recommend strategies to make procedural content more effective
  • Lead conversations with content partners to find consensus and build a shared vision, and shared timelines, for content change or creation
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects on tight timelines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, build credibility with partners, work independently, and be proactive
  • Able to maintain confidentiality around business projects
  • Able to host and attend meetings within hours of operations for a worldwide partner population
  • Experience with project management, graphic design, and digital asset management is a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience building and managing content in one or more content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager
  • Current or previous experience with Contact Centers is helpful
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is preferred
  • Experience with Apple products and services is good to have


As an Apple Support Procedures content writer, you will join a team of talented procedures developers who work collaboratively with subject matter experts, quality program managers, product managers, editors, and content designers to build high quality procedural documentation that contributes to the well-being of our customers. You will need to make decisions within short timeframes and with limited information, so good judgement and attention to detail is required for success.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years experience in a content management, knowledge management, information design, and/or technical writing role2+ years experience leading technical writers, graphic designers, and/or other personnel in a contact center environment - Master's degree in a related field with 2+ years relevant work experience - 2+ years in a role as a writer is preferred
