Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience of designing, implementing and supporting network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6 Addressing/subnetting, BGP routing Protocols, Layer 2 switching, Wireless networking and network cabling standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista and Palo Alto networking platforms.
  • Familiarity with the techniques involved in identifying and resolving network related problems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Korean (TOPIK Level 5 or above) and proficient in English (Test scores are a good guide but it’s your willingness and ability to work in a multilingual, multicultural environment that’s most important!).

Description

Based in Seoul, the role will be part of a regional team of technical engineers focused on building and supporting our corporate network infrastructure across Korea and Japan, as well as support broader APAC or Global activities for Apple. Areas of responsibility include the planning, design, deployment, optimisation, operation and monitoring of the Apple network across a broad spectrum of technologies including WAN, LAN, Data Centre, wireless, security, remote access and network management and automation tools. You will work with the regional network team on the deployment of new infrastructure (new sites, expansions and implementing new technologies) as well as support the ongoing life cycle management of existing network devices. You will also help to monitor the network, provide L2 incident support, maintain network and server room standards and contribute to the automation and optimisation of our regional network operations.

Education & Experience

・ College degree or relevant technical degree preferred. ・ Experience (5+ years) and progressive responsibilities within a global, multi-cultural, multi-location organization. ・ Advanced vendor Network Certifications preferred (e.g. CCNP/CCIE, or similar with other vendors).

Additional Requirements

  • ・ Knowledge and experience with network monitoring and management.
  • ・ Knowledge of security protocols (IPSec/SSL, ACL, NAT, stateful firewall, packet filtering).
  • ・ Programming or scripting experience in Python, Perl, Ruby, or Go would be beneficial.
  • ・ Experience with configuration management and automation technologies, such as Ansible, Salt, Chef or Puppet.
  • ・ Project Management experience would be a plus.
  • ・ Ability to thrive under pressure and navigate ambiguous situations.
  • ・ Willingness to work outside of normal office hours and/or travel to other Apple or partner locations as required.
