Key Qualifications

Proven track record (5+ years of experience) in project management, program management or product management
Strong technical leadership skills with proven experiences in the development of Data Science, AI, and/or Machine Learning projects
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global environment, including working with technical leads, software developers, and product managers
2+ years experience in agile software development as a core member of a Scrum team, with experience acting as Scrum Master or Product Owner across cross functional domain preferred
Hands-on technical experience in consumer oriented field is preferred
Knowledge of / experience with A/B testing / experimentation frameworks and methodologies
Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
Familiarity with the advertising industry, ad technology, data privacy, and related legal and regulatory concerns strongly preferred

Description

This role will be split between managing a cross-geography scrum team focussed on delivering business-critical projects, and a strategically significant cross-functional / geography program designed at improving our performance within the International markets that we serve. The Algorithms Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading work efforts that are central and critical to our product. This person is expected to analyze. Tradeoffs between prioritization, product features, marketplace timings, budget/resource availability, and steer project stakeholders to align on key decisions. The Algorithms Engineering Project Manager is expected to: - Own the project planning, delivery, work breakdowns, resource planning, and day-to-day project management using suitable agile methodologies - Manage key program-level software upgrade / migration initiatives across the Algo group - Partner with Engineering, and Product teams to identify product and technical requirements, and lead a delivery team through the software development lifecycle - Work closely with the engineering management team to form quarterly plans and give towards overall technology direction. - Negotiate the sequencing and timing of delivery with technology leadership, Product, and engineering teams. - Assess delivery risks, propose and take action on mitigations, and advance to the technology leadership team if needed. - Develop and implement communication strategies for advising the Ads organization of critical updates, their timing, impacts, and success and failure. - Understand and articulate delivery impact to partners such as end consumers, the business, and other Apple teams. - Apply knowledge from prior experiences with Agile projects and programs to the execution of your projects

Education & Experience

BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent
