Pedagogy Program Manager

The Apple Developer Academy provides the tools and training for aspiring entrepreneurs, developers, and designers to find and create jobs in the thriving iOS app economy. Academy participants learn the fundamentals of coding as well as core professional competencies, design, and marketing, ensuring graduates have the full suite of skills needed to contribute to their local business communities.
There are 18 Academies located in Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Korea and USA.
The Pedagogy Program Manager will be based in Naples and will represent the Apple pedagogy team with all the program stakeholders of the Italian Developer Academy, from university administrative staff, to teaching staff and government partners. As such, the Pedagogy Program Manager is expected to build strong relationships at all levels within the partnering organizations, and manage communications between all parties.
The Pedagogy Program Manager is also expected to directly support the teaching activities at the Academy and at its companion program, the Apple Foundation Program. Such support activities include:
- Collecting and monitoring evidences of learning, pedagogical data, student stories, and track alumni careers.
- Recording, analyzing and reporting pedagogical impact.
- Monitoring and reporting about classroom activities.
Lastly, the Pedagogy Program Manager is expected to help the Apple team understand and navigate the cultural and socio-economic context of the Academy. Such tasks are:
- Monitor local cultural/political voices and advise the Apple team of cultural sensitivities.
- Provide local market research on items identified by the Apple team.
- Occasionally provide Italian to English translation during Apple visits or for key written documents.
Occasionally, the Pedagogy Program Manager may be asked to support other Apple programs in Europe or elsewhere.
- Experience in project or program management, preferably in an Education context. The position requires demonstrated organizational skills.
- Experience navigating complex organizations, and interacting with all levels including leadership.
- Fluency in Italian required.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); frequent communication with International stakeholders is required.
- Experience in conducting research with excellent data handling, documentation, critical thinking, and communicating findings.
- Experience in team motivation, conflict facilitation, and individual coaching.
- Openness to business travel regionally, nationally and internationally.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in another language where the Academy operates (Arabic, Bahasa, French, Korean or Portuguese) a plus
- Teaching experience a plus.
