Apple Retail Logistics is looking for a logistics professional with proven experience in project management, focused on developing and providing logistics solutions for fleet wide projects that require logistics support and special delivery services at the store level. Supporting time sensitive events in highly confidential situations working with small teams to bring big events to reality for stores worldwide!

Key Qualifications

  • 10 years logistics industry experience
  • Multi-modal, domestic/international/local transportation
  • Warehouse operations
  • Understanding of incoterms, HTS, DG, import/export requirements
  • Deep understanding of transportation chains
  • Knowledge of “white glove” delivery services
  • Excellent communication, organizational, cross functional, collaborative, and analytical skills
  • Strong project management experience required

Description

OPERATIONS: - Work cross-functionally to manage global logistic roll outs to meet project schedule and cost targets - Publish, maintain, and enforce vendor route guides - Conduct root cause and corrective action as needed - Build project scope for both internal and external teams to implement by COST CONTROL: - Freight cost audit and payment - Conduct benchmarking activities - Develop cost estimates, forecasts and RFPs for multiple bids PROCESS DEVELOPMENT AND REENGINEERING: - Develop operational plans to support pilots and project roll outs from a small group of stores to the entire global fleet - Create project scope documents to be used in the Logistics bidding process - Onboard new vendors for logistics - Develop and enforce standards, guidelines and policies for packaging, documentation, communications, reporting, etc METRICS/ANALYTICS/REPORTING: - Develop and track key operational and financial metrics - Conduct performance and cost analysis - Perform periodic carrier reviews for past performance and future engagements LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS/STRATEGY: - Conduct RFP/RFQ activities to support projects and ongoing operations - Select and manage carriers’ performance to set goals and objectives - Administer carrier contracts and rate agreements - Review material vendor agreements for best practices in incoterms, logistics - Develop and implement innovative solutions for special projects SYSTEMS: - Develop support systems to streamline logistics operations INTERFACES: - Internal Apple: Merchandising, Marcom, Sourcing & Innovation, Development, Global Trade Compliance, Finance, Preservation, Marketing - External: Carriers, customs brokers, material vendors

Education & Experience

- BS/BA degree
