In this position, You will drive day-to-day activities on-site to meet the overall program objectives and guide the overall guardianship of Apple’s capital equipment deployed on-site. You will lead on-site Capital Equipment program management functions in iPhone Operations team, act as on-site leader for resolving all critical issues from contract manufacturers and driving closure and consensus among project team members, and raise issues in a timely manner. You will plan, develop and implement the capital equipment deployment at contractor manufacturer sites to support iPhone manufacturing by working with multi-functional teams in US and China, including budget planning, engineering design, BOM building, CTB, setup, vendor support, sustaining, transfer, EOL scrap etc. We expect you to show leadership in driving asset life cycle to support functional and technical scope of individual iPhone projects, and regularly work well with executives and peers in iPhone Operations group and leaders in contract manufacturer management team. Description

This position is based in China for leading on-site Capital Equipment program management functions for iPhone Operations team at contract manufacturing sites. Working cross- functionally in a team environment, the successful candidate will lead execution of program plans for both new and sustaining programs which result in successful completion of projects. The program manager will also act as on-site leader for resolving all blocking issues from contract manufacturers and would drive closure and consensus among project team members, and call out issues as vital in timely manner when the project team is off track. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Lead multi-functional communication between internal Apple team and contract manufacturer organization - Facilitate good communication and collaboration across engineering functions, operations, and vendors - Create and maintain project schedules. Provide timely issue resolution and critical path activities - Offer multiple levels of status updates across a wide spectrum of individual projects to executive management. - Drive CM teams for capital equipment transfers across sites, to maintain high traceability and usability of Apple’s assets, and to implement efficiency in equipment repair process to minimize downtime, spares and repair TAT - Review and approve capital equipment consumable spend by CM to maintain high

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field with at least 5 years of program management experience that involves tactical coordination (scope, schedule & resource management) of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in other sophisticated capital equipment such as military, aerospace, automotive, large agricultural machinery, etc.
  • Experience in leading capital equipment repair and scrap processes preferable
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Project Or OmniPlan at the enterprise level.
  • Proficiency using Excel, Keynote is must.
  • Ability to resolve conflict and drive compromise.
  • Solid understanding of economic metrics such as NPV, return on investment, etc, and their application to program management.
  • Experience managing projects within a defined stage-gate project development process.
  • PMP certification desirable. Demonstration of equivalent knowledge is required if not certified.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers
  • Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment and their application to semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in lean design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
  • Ability to deal with rapid development cycles & remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
  • Detailed knowledge of product development processes as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing processes
