Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experiencing designing, writing, maintaining, and executing software tests
  • In-depth understanding of iOS, macOS, and the Apple ecosystem
  • Ability to think as an end user
  • Scripting experience such as Python or JavaScript
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to triage problems
  • Passion for developing and maintaining a good user experience
  • Comfortable with switching contexts rapidly


As a Software Engineer in Test you will work directly with the engineers to develop and enhance the platform powering the Apple Beta Software Program. You will create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on the requirements of our software. Automated tests you create will qualify native and web-based applications, while your manual testing will track evolving use cases. You’ll work with the engineering team to develop a sound quality assurance process and infrastructure. Your duties will vary, but may include: Creating detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on the requirements of our software Creating and maintaining automated tests for native and web applications Executing all types of tests (e.g., functional, integration, manual, automated, etc.) on a scheduled or as-needed basis Tracking and managing bugs through the software development lifecycle Tracking and reporting on quality assurance metrics and testing activities

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science and 1-4 years of industry experience
