By crafting these distinct, holistic user experiences, you’ll continue to uphold and advance the excellence people expect from Apple devices.Job Summary The Storage System QA team within Apple’s Core OS organization is currently looking to hire a talented Software Development Engineer in Test to develop and run white-box and black-box on Storage Subsystems. You will write Test Plans, develop test tools, execute, debug scripts and infrastructure for NAND test rack operation and optimization. You will have the opportunity to work on Apple's new file system. You will be asked to work collaboratively with software, hardware and firmware development and test teams to gain an understanding of our projects and their requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • In depth knowledge and experience testing firmware in an embedded firmware development environment
  • Analyze system performance with a focus on metrics that improve customer experience
  • Debug low level software and hardware issues with multi-functional teams
  • Experience with test methodology used in the storage industry
  • Experience with the needs of storage testing
  • Expertise in the use of development tools and environments, and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash
  • Familiarity with OS X / Unix
  • Understanding of storage interfaces including PCIe, NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SCSI
  • Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage technologies

BS in EE/CE/CS
