AppleCare’s Field Diagnostic Engineering team is responsible for the development of diagnostic tools for all Apple’s mobile products. These tools are deployed to Geniuses and field service technicians globally which are critical for helping customers and directing repair solutions. Our work is highly integrated with iOS and we work closely with a variety of hardware and software technology teams across Apple on all new products prior to their launch. We are looking for a creative software engineer to work on a variety of products and technologies. You will be defining, developing and guiding validation of mobile diagnostics that are deployed with major iOS releases. The scope of work covers the entire iOS mobile device line up, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod, AirPod, iPod, Beats, and other accessories. Key Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in building Apps in a production environment
  • Strong programming skills in Objective-C and/or C++
  • Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming is a plus EFI, firmware or Mac OS coding experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

You will work on the production of iOS diagnostic solutions for mobile devices. Responsibilities include programming, testing and integration of iOS diagnostic tools. You will be a hands-on software engineer, working cross-functionally with QA, systems, analysis, and multiple hardware and software engineering teams. Collaboration with business and marketing teams will also be part of your role.

Education & Experience

Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, BS/MS, or equivalent experience
