Our team integrates all of these unique functionalities to provide one consistent interface to developers and users alike. Working with both internal and external developers, we design, implement, and maintain daemons and API's which support Apple's Maps and MapKit clients on iOS, macOS, tvOS, and Apple Watch.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design skills, preferably with Objective-C and/or C++
  • Basic understanding of multi-threaded programming and synchronization
  • 5+ years working in a production environment
  • Knowledge of basic Memory Management and Automatic Reference Counting (ARC)
  • Passion for product quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Description

The Apple Maps team is looking for a proactive and hardworking software engineer to develop core API's and technologies to support the Maps applications and all products using Maps data and services, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS. AS AN ENGINEER ON OUR TEAM, YOU WILL: Work with a team of developers to help design and integrate protocols which communicate with Maps services. Develop solid API's for Map features which enable developers both inside and outside of Apple. Create core technologies related to Map data access and management. Collaborate with other Apple members to create new and innovative solutions

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with the following, while not necessary, would be nice to have:
