We are seeking an extraordinary Information Security Engineer who can thrive in a fast paced environment where both individual drive and team collaboration are the keys to success. This is a technical hands-on role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You’ll be working across all of Apple driving security initiatives with application and system owners to remediate vulnerabilities and improve the security posture of Apple’s corporate infrastructure.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge in all areas of Information Security (Vulnerability Management, Information Security Systems Administration, and Architecture)
  • Experience remediating vulnerabilities and driving security initiatives with large teams Strong communication skills to be able to discuss technical issues with customers of all levels of technical expertise
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools Ability to prioritize vulnerability severity and impact to the business
  • Strong experience with Python, Perl, or Shell Scripting for tactical tooling and automation
  • Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix system administration
  • Proven grasp of PKI, SSL/TLS, HTTP, TCP, UDP Self starter, self-motivated, independent, and dedicated Experience implementing large-scale security solutions and integrations
  • Validated experience designing secure systems and applications
  • Driven to automate and improve security processes and applications
  • Experience implementing secure infrastructure in the cloud Ability to track and lead numerous parallel activities
  • Experience generating Information Security metrics to track project progress

Description

You will join a team that passionately stays up to date on emerging security vulnerabilities and threats, keeps a cool head in crisis, and advocates every single day to improve the security of Apple’s corporate infrastructure. You will need to have strong foundational knowledge in all areas of Information Security, superb interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive initiatives in a large teams. The role also requires a strong ability to work under pressure with incomplete information and adapt to changing priorities. Specific responsibilities include: - Lead Information Security initiatives within targeted groups to improve security posture - Provide guidance to engineering teams regarding the impact of security issues to drive remediation - Work closely with project managers and system engineers to drive security issues to closure - Provide consultation and solution recommendations to resolve security vulnerabilities and design secure systems - Write comprehensive technical reports - Draft communications to inform users about security issues track vulnerability closure

Education & Experience

Bachelors (Masters Preferred) in Computer Science or Engineering with an emphasis in Information Security or a related field, or equivalent experience. Technical certifications are a plus (OSCP, GIAC, ISC2).
