Do you see documentation as computer literature? Then being a software engineering author might be in your future. As an iOS or macOS author, whatever you write has an instant audience of millions. Your clear, concise descriptions of how to program using the latest Apple technologies will help third-party developers write apps that surprise and delight users. We’re looking for people who enjoy crafting solutions to pursue problems rather than focusing on completing tasks as fast as possible.

Key Qualifications

  • You will craft plans of how to provide the best possible documentation for a technology
  • You will participate in new API development with various software engineering teams
  • Determine how new software technologies work by developing code, discussing design principles with other specialists, and analyzing engineering specifications
  • You will research developer needs and resolve how your writing can address those needs
  • You will have 2-4 years of experience either in software engineering or writing documents on software programming
  • Ability to write clear, understandable prose
  • Validated skill in computer programming
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, editors, illustrators, and others Specializations.

You will write: - Programming guides full of code examples that show standard methodologies for using a technology - Step-by-step tutorials that help developers get up to speed quickly - Sample code that exercises all facets of the programming interface for hot new technologies - User guides that describe how to use Apple software development tools - As a Software engineering authors we typically specialize in one of the following: iOS or macOS development frameworks Objective-C, C++, JavaScript, or other object-oriented languages and programming concepts iOS, macOS, and UNIX operating systems

Education & Experience

- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge
