Now there are more than two million. And so our team of writers, editors, and curators challenged ourselves: How can we offer more perspective and insight? How do we showcase the work of innovative developers? How can we make the App Store a place our customers will want to come to every day? We’re hiring people who want to help make that happen. We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Writer to create engaging and original copy around games. Your work will cover App Store promotions, social media, and email. As an integral member of the creative team, you’ll be expected to bring deep experience to our features and campaigns, and collaborate closely with the Marketing, Design, and Business Management teams. An expertise with writing succinct headlines and teasers for a cross-platform retail environment is required. We are looking for a brilliant writer, a self-starter, a problem solver, and a talented communicator with a passion for excellent copy, and an eagerness to collaborate with creative colleagues around the world. You’re a digital and media enthusiast, love keeping up with pop culture, and are excited about how technology shapes our future. Most of all, you’re passionate about the role apps play in people’s lives, and are eager to help create an amazing user experience for millions of people around the world.

Key Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience writing marketing-oriented copy for e-commerce, online advertising, websites, email, and social media for major consumer brands — either at an agency or in-house
  • Experience or personal passion for the games category
  • Experience partnering with design groups to craft compelling and creative messaging solutions
  • Be a self-starter able to learn new and complicated tools and processes, while contributing to their constant evolution and streamlining
  • Experience following an editorial style guide
  • Experience working with content management systems
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with cross-functional teams under strict deadlines
  • Outstanding communication and planning skills with a strict attention to detail
  • Resourceful, creative, and collaborative
  • Deep passion for the Apple brand, Apple products, and mobile technology


Write marketing copy for selected games Generate and execute program and campaign ideas Develop messaging for email campaigns Collaborate on social media copy writing Curate and editorialize content for the App Store Share marketing copy with executives and cross-functional teams

Education & Experience
