We are looking for an extraordinary software engineer to lead, design and implement advanced power management algorithms for iOS products. Batteries are consumable components requiring careful monitoring and protection during charging and discharging to improve lifetime and deliver the performance expected by users. In this rare and highly visible role, using large data sets and system models, you will be at the center of battery management algorithm design efforts, working with battery technology, hardware, software, data science groups, leading the design and optimization of high level battery management software.

Key Qualifications

  • Solid experience in writing, debugging and productizing complex software daemons and services
  • Proven track record leading new technologies on multi-release complex software projects
  • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
  • Demonstrated innovative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent collaborative skills, outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of C, C++ and Objective C
  • Data analysis programming languages (Python, R, ...)
  • Operating systems and data bases
  • Experience working with large scale data sets, analysis and algorithm design

Description

We explore novel system battery power and performance management solutions and drive the requirements of large data collection efforts needed for modeling and algorithms. We design and optimize models for battery management software for iOS and implement software as kernel modules, daemons and system services. In this role you will demonstrate and explain cross functionally algorithm constraints and user experience trade-offs

Education & Experience

MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Additional Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in the embedded system software development
  • Familiarity with battery and power management
  • Probabilities and statistical analysis
  • Applied machine learning algorithms
  • Understanding of control systems
  • Experience with OS X or iOS development environments
