Key Qualifications

  • You have a proven command of PKI concepts with a validated understanding of x509 certificate fields and extensions
  • You have strong knowledge of industry standard methodologies and relevant standards (e.g. CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements, WebTrust for CA, RFC’s 2560, 3647, 5019, 5280)
  • You have experience defining and enforcing policy
  • Validated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Superb communication skills including effective listening, writing and presentation
  • Experience solving problems through a data-driven approach
  • Ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner
  • You're a go-getter who works well individually and in teams
  • Proven ability to participate in productive debate and influence others


APPLE ROOT PROGRAM - Lead an internal, cross-functional team to review and approve root inclusions and removals - Research root submissions (including reviewing audits) and circumstances that may warrant removal and communicate pertinent data to decision makers - Enhance program requirements and decision-making criteria for inclusion and removal - Communicate with root operators - Manage process for approved roots to be correctly included in Apple software COMMON CA DATABASE (CCADB) - Participate as one of the Apple representatives for the CCADB - Collaborate with CCADB Root Store Members to identify CCADB features to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of root application review CA/BROWSER FORUM ( - Participate as one of the Apple representatives on the CA/Browser Forum - Evaluate CA/B Forum proposals, solicit input from internal stakeholders and advocate for Apple’s position - Identify and propose CA/B Forum ballots, as appropriate, that align with Apple’s initiatives and values APPLE CERTIFICATE TRANSPARENCY (CT) POLICY - Collaborate with key stakeholders across Apple to further define Apple’s CT policy - Communicate with CT log operators and manage the process for log qualification - Participate in industry CT Policy discussions and meetings to stay current with and influence evolving policies and practices - Develop a solution for monitoring CT Logs for compliance with Apple’s CT policies

Education & Experience

BS/BA in related field or equivalent work experience

Additional Requirements

  • - Experience operating within a WebTrust-compliant control environment is a plus
  • - Experience integrating digital certificates with applications and services is a plus
  • - Current or previous participation in the CA/Browser Forum a plus
