We are a diverse team of engineers, designers and scientists looking for an energetic physicist / electrical engineer with strong sensor design skills. You will be working in a highly collaborative group who are changing the way we measure the world and our interactions with it. You will play a key role in developing new sensing modalities in novel materials systems. We will rely on your expertise in fundamental sensor design, analog supporting circuitry and firmware to broadcast the sensor readings. We are looking for a highly motivated electrical engineer / physicist to join a multifunctional team of hardware and machine designers, materials scientists, artists and test engineers. You will play a key role in developing new sensing modalities in novel materials systems . We will rely on your expertise in fundamental sensor design, analog supporting circuitry and firmware to broadcast the sensor readings.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical work experience
  • Hands-on experience in electrical engineering, especially board level analog/digital design
  • Hands-on experience with fundamental sensor design
  • Experience in firmware development, especially C++ and python
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid teamwork and leadership skills
  • Familiar and at ease with mechanical devices and principles
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, Simulink or similar simulation software
  • Significant experience with diverse materials systems strongly desired
  • Appreciation/knowledge of the Arts is a plus

Description

Invent and develop new sensors over a range of modalities Schematic board designs for sensor and flexible assemblies Test and determine the performance of individual sensors and the interaction of sensors with the overall system Perform failure mode analysis and module/system level problem solving International travel to support product development IP generation

Education & Experience

M.E. / Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics or the equivalent
