Key Qualifications

  • You should have knowledge and industry experience in electroacoustics, loudspeaker modeling, physical modelling, digital signal processing, various electrical and acoustical measurement techniques or similar. Knowledge of, or experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
  • Digital signal processing, including filtering and dynamics processing
  • Signal processing on real time systems such as DSP or other embedded systems
  • Linear and nonlinear system modeling
  • Acoustical and electrical measurement techniques
  • Audio signal analysis in MATLAB or similar scripting language/software
  • Audio listening skills for diagnosing problems in product sound quality
  • Ability to communicate findings and ideas to other teams or experts in other disciplines

Description

The Apple Audio Systems Engineering team is looking for an Audio System Specialist to help design the best possible system performance between audio software and acoustic hardware in Apple devices. As part of Apple’s Acoustics Team, you will have responsibilities that include: Modeling loudspeaker and other physical and mechanical systems Algorithm prototyping and tuning on real time platforms Analyzing audio loudspeaker components and mechanical modules Final validation of audio loudspeaker systems

Education & Experience
