Key Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Design for Assembly/Manufacturing inSMT and test
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Lean six sigma methodology
  • Exposure to predetermined time standards such as MODAPTS, MOST or MTM
  • Direct EMS (CM) experience in NPI and Mass production
  • Good interpersonal, collaboration, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work to tight project deadlines
  • Excellent business and transformational skills to think different in driving total cost of ownership
  • Ability to concisely drive issues/projects and report on progress simultaneously
  • Highly self driven, acute attention to detail, and ability to lead multiple critical projects
  • High level of energy and positive attitude toward tactical and transformational change
  • Ability to travel internationally 20-30%
  • Desired:
  • Ability to run discrete event simulation in FlexSIM and PlantSIM
  • Exposure to ergonomic validations using Siemens Jack or Process Simulate Human
  • Experience with 3D factory modeling and visualization software (Factory CAD, Line Designer, Factory Design Suite - Autodesk, VisMockup, Process Simulate)

Description

•Program Management •Modeling and evaluating discrete process simulations •Designing the layout of the plant •Designing, developing and installing plant control systems •Investigating process ergonomics and coming up with solutions for any perceived issues •Factory Efficiency, line utilization, UPH, tact time, head count and cycle time improvement •Calculating production costs and metrics that include time, labor, space, equipment, fixtures and overhead •Maintaining product process flow, layout and parameters •Implementing lean principles to various factory related processes •Deciding on the effective use of resources, e.g. raw materials, equipment, labor etc •Work closely with cross functional team, especially DFM, Biz Ops and CAPEX team on cost analysis •Factory benchmarking for best in class metrics •Responsible for multiple product lines •Leading development and implementation of projects at contract manufacturers (CMs) •Visiting CMs and other production sites to lead IE discussions, evaluate onsite processes and provide improvement direction

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
