We are looking for a detail oriented, motivated individual with supply chain planning and program management experience. You will own the planning for iOS devices for AppleCare and will act as a focal point in communicating and executing supply plans to meet AppleCare’s overall goals. You possess strong analytical skills and a collaborative and proactive attitude; you think broadly and are able to work seamlessly with senior managers and planners. In addition, you have strong knowledge and experience in procurement, supply planning, and vendor communications to deliver extraordinary customer service in a very dynamic environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Supply/Demand planning and supply chain management.
- Proven experience working as a supply planner/buyer; knowledge of manufacturing procurement a plus
- Experience in Hi-tech Service Supply Chain or Reverse Logistics
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- SAP experience a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Sense of priority, ownership and urgency to meet deadlines from different resources
- Focus on details and accuracy
- Demonstrated program management skills involving projects of varying scopes
Responsibilities include: - Analyze service parts supply/demand and make new buy and repair recommendations to achieve target fill rate and minimize backlog. - Provide thorough analysis of high dollar purchase recommendations for management review and sign-off. - Determine allocation and inventory balancing across AppleCare sites and regions. - Review daily reports and act on supply shortages immediately to minimize customer impact. - Complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for any supply gaps. - Present part status to management on top supply issues. - Collaborate with internal Apple partners to resolve issues; build strong relationships to successfully influence and manage escalations on a daily basis. - Partner with Demand Planning team to improve forecast accuracy. - Work with partners in Engineering, Procurement, Commodity Managers, and OEM suppliers to execute the most cost-effective supply chain solutions for AppleCare. - Actively participate in regular and ad-hoc early morning or evening calls with global team and/or vendors. - Optimize inventory to drive improved turns. - Manage excess & obsolete inventory. - Manage daily pack plans for regional warehouses. - Review and maintain relevant planning parameters in AppleCare systems
Education & Experience
BS degree in related fields (manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, operations) plus 5-7 years of related experience, or advanced degree plus 3-5 years of related experience MBA or Masters in Supply Chain/Operation a plus
