The Clojure Software Engineer position requires both a mix of strategic engineering and software development skills. As an engineer, you’ll monitor, configure, report upon, and improve large-scale systems — achieve optimal performance, stability, and availability. Key Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux system administration
  • A solid sense of ownership, customer service, communication, and integrity
  • Understanding of distributed cloud-based architectures
  • Experience with computer networks
  • Proficiency in at least one commonly used programming language
  • A systematic test-and-measure approach to continually improving service operations
  • Experience with popular database technologies
  • A passion for automation
  • Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with configuration management tools and orchestration systems
  • Experience supporting ADDM BMC Discovery appliances
  • Experience developing Clojure applications
  • Experience with concurrent and asynchronous Clojure programming
  • Experience writing BMC’s Discovery patterns and TPL scripting
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Kafka

You will possess both system administration experience and proven software development capabilities. You will be self-motivated with a passion for perfection, quality, and detail in supporting operations, providing architectural design, and through the implementation of complex features.

Education & Experience

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience
