Key Qualifications

  • Quality methodology, Design of Experiments, statistical process control methods and theory
  • Reliability methods and quality statistical sampling
  • Data driven and results oriented approach to problem solving
  • Clear and consistent communication, including executive level presentation skills
  • Technical systems knowledge related to electronics and mechanical assembly
  • 5+ years experience in either manufacturing or the development of consumer electronics

Description

Audio Program Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality improvement actions on future products and manufacturing processes and developing plans to validate / verify new product quality at each development milestone. This position reports directly to the Audio Quality Manager. - Identify and drive quality improvement opportunities in future products and manufacturing processes - Generate Product Quality Plan (PQP) - Lead Process FMEAs on new technologies and manufacturing processes - Lead technical Failure Analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution - Monitor Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) and Customer Audit (CA) processes at OEM sites - Manage quality escalation issues as directed by the Product Quality Manager - Drive on-going product improvements with OEM partners - Support AppleCare Service & Engineering on specific investigations - Conduct periodic reviews of Field/Factory Quality Data with OEM partners - Prepare OK to Ship documentation for new product launch - Attend new product development builds as required - International Travel is required (up to 25%)

Education & Experience

BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering (MS/MBA preferred) or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required
  • - Finance/business acumen (understand cost drivers and ability to derive costs associated with managing quality)
  • - Reliability methods and quality sampling methodologies
  • - Third party production quality & process management experience
  • - Experience working with customers
  • - Project management experience
