The Display Hardware team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development across a variety of Apple products such as MacBooks and iMac. Key Qualifications

  • Experience in three or more of the following:
  • Mixed signal & power design at either IC or PCB level
  • High Speed signaling, SI, and PCB routing
  • FPGA / CPLD / micro-controller programming
  • Quick-Turn prototyping
  • Complex PCB design failure analysis
  • Scripting or test automation experience with simulation tools such as Matlab, Python, Objective C and Cadence
  • PCB SMT manufacturing process
  • Consumer electronics final assembly manufacturing process
  • Liquid crystal, OLED and other modern display technologies
  • Simulation tools such as Cadence, Matlab, Ansoft, or SPICE
  • Consumer electronics level mass production experience
  • Hands on lab experience including data acquisition and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies
  • Ability to communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and functional teams
  • Ability to participate in multi-functional design reviews and become a valued contributor as a partner in the overall system design

Description

- Lead design of PCB and electrical characterization / validation from prototype through mass production - Run simulations to meet various requirements such as display, power, SI, EMC, and graphics - Analyze & give feedback on mechanical constraints impacting EE design - Design and capture PCB level schematic & layout - Communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and functional teams - Handle project landmarks and issues - Participate in multi-functional design reviews and become a valued contributor as a partner in the overall system design - Perform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical and optical issues

Education & Experience

PhD/MS with 5+ years of EE design experience
