Apple is looking for an extraordinary software engineering leader to guide the development of our Wallet app. Our team is responsible for technology that allows our users to board flights, enter gyms, pay for groceries, enter a university dorm, or board a train, all with a tap of their wrist.

Key Qualifications

  • You have significant experience in one or more programming languages (Objective C / Swift preferred)
  • You have experience leading and growing a team of highly skilled engineers
  • Passion and prior experience designing and implementing user interfaces and customer experiences
  • You thrive working in a fast-paced environment and learning new technologies
  • Proven ability to develop and ship high quality software products built on deep technology stacks
  • Deep understanding of object oriented design, memory management, and performance optimization

As the manager of the Apple Pay & Wallet team for Apple Watch, you will have many responsibilities relating to the design, development, and testing of Apple Pay & Wallet features in watchOS. This is a highly cross-functional role which involves working across software teams to enable amazing experiences that surprise and delight our users. You will be responsible for driving new features, improving quality and performance, resource planning, and developing, mentoring, and growing your team. The ideal candidate will be technically hands-on and be capable of juggling multiple projects. Excellent communication skills will be critical in this role in order to work cross-functionally with other software engineering teams, and to partner closely with QA, design, marketing and other key stakeholders. Familiarity with the payments space is a plus.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
