We are seeking a data savvy accountant to help drive improvements in reporting, systems and process across multiple accounting teams. This position is based in Austin, TX.

Key Qualifications

  • History of driving process improvement, system automation, and world class reporting
  • Strong accounting background
  • Self-motivated individual with high degree of judgment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Database development and administration, scripting, and/or data visualization experience required
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau, Automator, FileMaker, SQL, and advanced Excel skills preferred

Description

• Analyze existing processes, identify automation opportunities, recommend and implement sustainable approaches and strategies • Partner with Information Systems & Technology, Record-to-Report, various finance teams to ensure processes are scalable and produce accurate results • Play integral role in monthly financial close process • Prepare journal entries, periodic reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations, participate in quarterly balance sheet reviews • Partner with global business teams and provide accounting support to Finished Goods Inventory, Intercompany, and General Ledger accounting teams • Contribute to the implementation of projects that impact the organization while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policy • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company policy, SOX, and US GAAP

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required with minimum 3 years experience in a corporate accounting environment • CPA or MBA preferred
