As a member of our Product Marketing group, you’ll shepherd a product’s positioning from concept through development and launch, to give it the best chance of success in the market. You’ll apply customer insights to help infuse ideas for groundbreaking features into our product-development process. You’ll also help lead the process for products and services, such as iPhone, macOS and iOS, from conception to launch. In doing so, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of teams that may include design, engineering, legal, finance, sales, marketing communications, and support. Together with our team, you’ll work to craft groundbreaking ideas into tangible products that excite the world. The Privacy Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing and defining privacy-related messages and features as part of the OS Product Marketing team, including working both inbound and outbound to facilitate the development, introduction, maintenance, and/or obsolescence of privacy features and technologies.
- 5+ years of product management and/or marketing experience
- Specific experience in user privacy.
- Strong written and oral communications skills
Responsible for marketing of user privacy in communication of broad, market-independent messages. Helps develop and review PR/Marcom materials such as collateral, press releases, and data sheets. Makes product positioning recommendations to management and counterparts. Expands expand outbound marketing through the introduction of new programs and methods of outreach to customers and the Apple field. Discerns new product areas to develop and assists in the development of the product line strategy. Develops, communicates, and positions the product in relation to other products. Normally works on new product areas of very high complexity and of great potential impact to Apple. Drives the definition of broad, complex, and high impact products and features for worldwide markets, assisting in the development of the product line strategy. Drives successful tradeoffs that affect cost, schedule, users, and how well the product works throughout the product life cycle. Provides product and feature leadership from introduction through obsolescence, evaluates new technologies, articulates issues, and makes clear recommendations. Independently identifies and analyzes the possible impact of competitive/3rd party products on Apple's products and makes recommendations as needed. Has experienced knowledge of competitive and 3rd party products and competitor strategy. Creates and delivers formal presentations and conducts group discussions on privacy for a broad range of Apple audiences including media, customers, industry experts and partners, and government officials.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree required.
