At Apple, we combine product development and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support for maximum impact across the organization. As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll represent the needs of the user from the development, through the introduction, to the eventual obsolescence of your product. Here’s what we seek in you:

Key Qualifications

  • A passion for phenomenal products
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics technologies, products and markets
  • Experience working closely with engineering/technical teams to scope and implement new products
  • Strong technical aptitude is required
  • Software engineering or user-interface design experience a plus
  • Requires strong spoken and written communication skills, as well as capabilities as a product spokesperson on a national or global level
  • Experience with press and media a plus
  • Experience formulating product messaging and crafting outbound marketing
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships and lead engagements
  • Domestic and international travel required


In this role, you will: Provide marketing leadership from development and introduction through obsolescence of your product, seeing opportunities, articulating issues and making clear recommendations Research and synthesize industry, technology, market and competitive trends to build expertise and identify new product horizons Understand and communicate user needs and perspectives to inspire the broader organization, and help conceptualize new products Negotiate product trade-offs impacting cost, schedule and usability to improve user experience Collaborate with software engineers and product designers to bring new software products to life Position products and craft compelling end-user messaging Launch products worldwide in conjunction with marketing communications, public relations and events teams Travel the world as an ambassador for Apple products, working with industry, customers and press Evaluate user feedback and integrate key insights back into the organization

Education & Experience

BS/BA degree required; MS/MA/MBA a plus
