Key Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of IMAP and SMTP email protocols, MIME, Solr, and NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Experience in C, C++, and Java server development.
  • Scripting language experience in bash, python, and/or perl.
  • Experience writing REST based services.
  • Expert knowledge with Splunk querying and reporting.
  • Experience leading and working with off-shore teams.

Description

Consider joining a small team writing the software which forms the foundation for some of our most exciting products and services. We are looking for a deeply capable engineer who has a strong background in web services development, and who has built high-performance, scalable and extensible systems. In this highly visible position, you will collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to define and implement some of the core backend platform frameworks and systems that will power a new generation Apple web services. In this role, you will: Leverage your knowledge of Splunk to do advanced analysis and reporting on mail server system integrity and performance. Maintain, enhance, and monitor user account migration utilities to ensure a successful transition to our next generation service. Detect, analyze, and remediate software and configuration issues and bugs. Serve as the team-lead for off-shore developers, delegating tasks and monitoring progress on Sprint deliverables. Take on additional duties and responsibilities as new systems and services are developed.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science,Mathematics, or EE is required
