The Worldwide Sales & Operations Support Learning & Development Team is responsible for building and delivering innovative and dynamic training curricula for our Operations teams globally. This team is searching for an exceptional Instructional Designer for a position based out of our Austin, Texas facility. You will join the WW SOS Learning & Development Team and work with business partners to research, design, and develop innovative and engaging training solutions using a variety of development tools.

Key Qualifications

  • You bring 5 or more years work experience in the training design and development field
  • Experience crafting and developing live classroom, virtual classroom, and self-guided online training using known instructional design methodology
  • Develop project plans and timelines to effectively set obtainable goals with an emphasis on on-time delivery
  • You demonstrate the ability to lead numerous projects at a time
  • You effectively work with global teams and accommodate time differences if necessary
  • Proven ability to learn complex systems and process information
  • You have experience authoring content for/within a Content Management System
  • Expert understanding of the training development and delivery cycles
  • You thrive working with peers to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for learning programs
  • Ability to build relationships between internal client groups (representatives, management, support, etc.)
  • Dream and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment
  • Recent experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Experience developing interactive course modules and simulations
  • Previous experience with developing technical/analytical training for SAP, Excel with a focus on Supply Chain desired
  • Experience creating engaging self-guided learning with Adobe Captivate
  • Experience creating Instructor Lead Training with Keynote
  • User experience with iOS, iPhone and Mac OS desired
  • Advanced skills in graphic design, video, editing, image manipulation, copy editing and formatting


We play a key role in crafting and developing traditional classroom training, informal learning programs, and online self-guided courses. Knowledge of effective design and delivery for mobile learners is also highly desirable. In addition, you will help design training for live virtual classroom delivery using web conferencing and synchronous collaboration tools. We work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands high quality, creativity, and consistency. You may be requested to work some non-standard business hours, such as early mornings or evenings, at their availability and discretion. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Make learning strategy recommendations at the global level and create project plans to support development and implementation Collaborate with WW Learning and Development Team members and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Teams to ensure the learning programs meet business needs and create value for the organization Research, design, and develop engaging and effective training solutions that meet Apple’s high standard for quality, innovation, and design Create text, graphics, rich media, and interactive learning deliverables using a variety of creative applications Create training solutions that may be delivered in a variety of formats—traditional and virtual classroom training, informal learning programs, online self-guided courses, and mobile learning Maintain a working knowledge of emerging trends in learning strategy If appropriate, travel domestically and internationally to meet with business partners and support learning events Perform ad hoc duties, seen as necessary by business owners and the training organization

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a Master's Degree in a related field is a plus
