If so, we would love to have you in AppleCare. We are creating a new, hybrid role that mixes the best of data science with survey research. We are looking for someone with a Data Science background that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better customer experiences. Your primary focus will encompass three areas. 1. Advanced statistical analysis 2. Applying data science techniques 3. Leading survey programs 1. ADVANCED STATISTICAL ANALYSIS Our team is responsible for analyzing the survey data we collect. You’ll be responsible for supporting the team when advanced statistical techniques are required. 2. APPLYING DATA SCIENCE TECHNIQUES In this role we are looking for someone to lead data science projects such as: - Automate scoring using machine learning techniques - Build recommendation systems - Build system for automated fraud detection 3. LEADING SURVEY PROGRAMS Finally, you’ll be asked to lead ongoing customer satisfaction tracker programs. Specific activities include: - Leading data sampling processes, including database queries - Organizing large raw data sets - Merging customer and transactional data for analysis - Creating and delivering data-based, actionable, and compelling presentations for internal business leaders - Working with the business to ensure optimized research utilization - Crafting survey questions

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing data and reporting
  • Strong data mining and statistical modeling background
  • Mathematical knowledge understanding of machine learning techniques such as regression, time series analysis, clustering, decision tree techniques
  • Recent experience with building models such as Forecasting growth, predicting churn, Customer clustering and detecting anomaly
  • Experience in data engineering in Big Data systems
  • Expertise in crafting Data Models for high performance and scalability
  • Experience with Spark, Hadoop or other distributed frameworks
  • Experience in high-level programming language for analysis (e.g. Python, R, Scala)

Education & Experience
