Research Internship – Deep Learning
Santa Clara Valley (Cupertino), California, United States
Software and Services
The Maps Data team at Apple is looking to hire an intern for the summer of 2019 with strong Deep Learning skills. As an intern, you will work with a team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning practitioners working on state-of-the-art technologies to "understand" this world better. The emphasis will be to work on edge of creativity technologies, but highly impactful Deep Learning problems that will help improve our customers' experience, which has always been at the core of Apple's agenda. Come help with hands-on work in a small innovative team and you will be part of building the next big thing.
- Expertise in Machine Learning.
- Programming expertise in Python, or similar coding language.
- Experience with one of the Deep Learning packages: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Experience with deep learning courses (e.g. CS224D/N, CS231N, CS236, CS234).
You will focus on one of the three topics below: State-of-the-art Generative models (e.g. GANs, VAEs) for challenging problems with multiple modalities of data. Deep Reinforcement Learning. Deep sequential models (e.g. RNNs) for understanding very rich sequence data. Semi-supervised, unsupervised learning using Deep Neural nets. Each of the above require the use of very large-scale data with multiple modalities.
Education & Experience
Pursuing a PhD, or MS degree in Computer Science or related fields with a focus on Deep Learning preferred.
