Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications. As a Senior Designer on Marcom’s Chanel interactive team, you will work in close collaboration with other creative and technical disciplines to create considered and elegant customer experiences and communications to exist within our partners digital channels or ecosystems. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and presentation skills, an impeccable design aesthetic, experience leading a small team of designers, the ability to encourage positive collaboration with multi-disciplinary partners, a deep understanding of user experience concepts, style guides, systematic design rationale, and an extraordinary attention to detail.

Key Qualifications

  • Highly proficient in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, emphasis, and unity
  • Experience designing for and/or creating digital platforms or products
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and deliver quality design at a high volume in a tight timeframe
  • Experience participating in design sprints, stand-ups, sprint planning, lean product testing, workflows and processes
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to consistently simplify and organize their thoughts into clear and concise design
  • Understands how to promote / facilitate collaboration between cross functional departments and disciplines, to ensure that their work is informed, distilled and feasible
  • Photoshop/sketch expertise, including intelligently organizing files for design iteration and web production
  • Reliable judgement to see when work may be “off track” and collaborate with others to find solutions
  • Passion for nurturing relationships and rallying teams to align around a vision
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both creative and technical audiences
  • Ability to create simple prototypes that convey preferred states, motion, and behaviors for interactive concepts
  • Strong understanding of front-end web and mobile development, including HTML, CSS, iOS, and other technologies
  • A minimum of 6 years experience design, including web, mobile or app design

Description

Create original designs that align to project goals, creative direction, fluid templates, and Apple standards Collaborate with Art Directors, ACDs and the larger cross functional project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts. Prepare for creative reviews by outputting optimized files, preparing printouts and presentation materials Guide ideas to meet both creative and business goals within the project scope Present persuasively and clearly articulated design rationale for project creative solutions Consult with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within given limitations, and files are prepared with all necessary information to support the design intent Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, and typography are flawless Continually seek opportunities to refine design thinking and improve workflows

Education & Experience

Preferred: BA or BFA in Graphic Design (or equivalent).
