We are seeking a senior level, energetic and self-driven DevOps software engineer to help lead DevOps efforts in Apple Health, and play a central role in the delivery of secure scalable services. Key Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a DevOps or Systems engineer
  • A strong communicator and collaborator who can participate in design and planning discussions
  • Understand fundamental coding concepts and can script or code in modern programming language (Go or Python a plus)
  • Understand networking and modern web services architectures
  • Demonstrated experience measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
  • Experience in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • You understand networking and modern web services architectures
  • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies
  • You understand how to troubleshoot system failures and application crashes
  • You have supported systems on bare metal and in cloud environments
  • Experience with NoSQL and RDMS databases
  • A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather then do everything by hand
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and solution-oriented individual
  • Able to quickly learn new and existing technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills

Description

We’re looking for someone with great ownership and a strong practical focus. You will be part of the DevOps efforts on a big project in Apple Health, and helping make decisions from the ground up. You’ll be implementing a secure, robust and high availability DevOps pipeline and automating monitoring, build & deployment processes. You will work closely with engineers, QA, and project managers throughout the software lifecycle in successfully delivering best-in-class secure and scalable systems. You will be excited by the prospect of working collaboratively with other groups to deliver truly amazing services to our users. Education & Experience

BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
