Do you love crafting elegant solutions to highly complex challenges? Are you a big-picture forward-thinking who understands how each element affects all the others? At Apple, our Architecture group is responsible for connecting our hardware and software into one unified system. Join this team, and you’ll collaborate with engineers across Apple to design how all of our technologies work in unison. You’ll drive development of our renowned system-on-a-chip architecture and develop algorithms for platform power, performance, and thermal management. You’ll develop forward-looking prototype systems as well as build and deploy software development tools that will be distributed to the Apple engineering community. Join this team, and you’ll help build the seamless technology experiences we’re known for worldwide. In this highly visible role, you will lead the architecture of SoC Display subsystem, including memory fabric interface, data pipe flow controls, memory compression, display interfaces, and etc.

Key Qualifications

  • You will have 10+ years in chip architecture, display subsystem architecture, design experience with a complete understanding of the technology
  • SOC Display subsystem architecture and micro-architecture knowledge
  • Deep understanding of SoC display sub-system architecture, interface, performance and energy trade-offs Broad understanding of display technology
  • Proven expertise in memory sub-system, memory interface, and DMA
  • Proven Architectural modeling ability
  • Strong social and collaboration skills with multi-functional teams

You be responsible for all aspects of SoC display subsystem architecture: Work closely with SoC and fabric architects, software, and system engineers to architect SoC display subsystem Architect display subsystems, including display pipe control, memory, and interfaces Provide detailed architectural guidance at all levels of design throughout the design process from concept through production Make recommendation on key design trade-offs across architecture and performance Author and maintain the display subsystem architecture specifications
