Apple is looking for informaticists and medical experts to support health engineering efforts. This is a unique opportunity for clinicians to leverage their medical expertise to assist developers building health focused technologies. In this role you will work closely with a talented team of engineers to address specific issues in the development and validation of health related tools. The ideal candidate enjoys working closely on technology and data, and isn't afraid of hard challenges. They enjoy working in a fast-moving cross-functional team to which they bring their clinical experience and perspective. In this team, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to interesting technologies, and grow in multiple facets professionally.

Key Qualifications

  • Medical Training (MD / RN / CNP or equivalent). US Licensure / Practice Experience is a plus
  • Undergraduate or graduate training in Medical Informatics (or equivalent experience working with medical informatics systems such as Clinical Decision Support, EHR implementation etc)
  • A detailed understanding of medical ontologies (SNOMED-CT, ICD9/10, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, RxNorm, LOINC)
  • Familiarity with health data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • 2+ years of clinical practice experience
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills for clinical concepts
  • Strong grasp of the fundamentals of biomedical statistics
  • Experience working to help develop technology products or with research using health technology in clinical/research applications


• Work with engineers, data scientists & informaticists to support Health related efforts at Apple • Develop iOS features to help empower users to make better decisions about their health

Education & Experience

Medical Training (MD / RN / CNP or equivalent). US Licensure / Practice Experience is a plus
