Apple’s Technology Development Group is looking for a Procedural Audio Engineer to develop next generation audio synthesis algorithms. This engineer will work closely with the audio teams from across the company to guide the future of Apple’s procedural audio technology and experience across our products.

Key Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of audio, acoustics, physics, and procedural audio
  • Excellent C/C++ coding skills
  • Experience designing and implementing procedural audio software
  • Experience with audio DSP programming in a framework such as Max/Faust/PureData
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with executive presentations
  • Experience in the following strongly preferred:
  • Swift / Objective-C
  • Running DAW software such as Logic, ProTools, REAPER, etc.
  • Scripting languages such as Python and MATLAB
  • Professional use of DAW software such as Logic, ProTools, REAPER, etc.
  • Experience writing audio plugins for Unity3D, Unreal Engine, FMOD, Wwise, or other game audio engines
  • Experience with audio DSP programming in a framework such as Max/Faust/PureData
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience with executive presentations
  • Swift / Objective-C
  • Experience writing digital audio workstation software Experience with procedural audio
  • Scripting languages such as Python and MATLAB
