As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you’ll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you’ll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple’s devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. In this hands-on role, you will utilize your experience in the areas of formal verification, logic equivalence checking, ECO Implementation, and logic synthesis to support frontend and physical design teams. You will develop, maintain, and improve applications to enable designers to prove equivalence between RTL and gates, gates to gates, and RTL to RTL. These applications will also be used in the ECO process to both implement ECOs as well as verify that they are logically correct. You will collaborate with other CAD team members and help in leading logic equivalence efforts. The role includes generalized support of frontend design and backend teams.

Key Qualifications

  • Typically requires at least 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in Formality and/or Conformal is required
  • Expertise in Conformal ECO is required
  • Expertise in Design Compiler or Genus is a bonus
  • Expertise in power domain checking tools (CLP, MVRC) is a plus
  • Prior experience scripting in PERL and TCL
  • Strong communication skills and previous customer support desired

Education & Experience

MS/BS Degree in technical discipline
