Apple's Special Projects Group (SPG) is currently seeking an Operations Tools Lead that can help conceive, develop, test & deploy tools that would improve operational efficiency and productivity. Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience as a software developer
  • At least 10 years’ work experience as a Technical Lead/Software Architect/Technical Project Manager
  • Ability to listen, understand and support the enduser perspective and requirements
  • Passionate about improving the tools for a great endusers experience
  • Extensive experience with Jira
  • Experience using TestRail or other testing platforms
  • Experience in JS, Python, Web development
  • Experience using Statistical analysis, Metrics
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Excellent documentation skills in Word, Visio, Keynote or Powerpoint
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new workflows/technology
  • Ability to work pro-actively, individually and as part of a team
  • Previous experience as a trainer is a plus


Ownership of tools requirements, development (coordinate with Engineering teams), testing and deployment Work with stakeholders/endusers regularly and understand the requirements in detail Work with endusers to prioritize tool features and coordinate with Engineering during sprint planning Document, update and publish tool requirements Coordinate and track tools development effort with Engineering Communicate changes, new features and tools improvements to endusers clearly and in a timely manner Help develop metrics for Tools & measure tool efficiency Track tool usage and help with adoption Oversee the creation of test plan/test-cases for testing the tools Coordinate with Training team to ensure adequate and timely training material for new tools/features

Education & Experience

Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
