The Apple Engineering Team is looking for a visionary, creative, and self driven Embedded Software Engineer working on future Display hardware technologies. You will work in a reciprocal, exciting environment to integrate new technologies into Apple’s products.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years firmware experience for embedded systems
  • Proficient in C and C++ embedded firmware development
  • Architect firmware systems with efficiency, modularity, extensibility, and robustness
  • UI Development on MacOS, Windows, or iOS application for simple engineering applications. (Qt and/or SWIFT preferred)
  • Scripting (Perl, Python, Bash) development experience
  • Experience with a different MCUs(Cortex M4, MSP), peripherals, features, and development environments.
  • Able to read board schematics and know EE fundamentals
  • Collaborate with EE Team members with board bring up and mixed signal hardware
  • Strong firmware debugging capabilities with respect to embedded system issues
  • Knowledgable about serial communication protocols and ability to read bus traces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, etc.)
  • Able to use tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and on-chip debuggers
  • Uses version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with FPGA programming is a plus
  • Simple soldering and rework experience is a plus

- Write detailed Specifications about the firmware architecture and operation - Promote innovation and new technology to further enhance Apple's display performance and user experience - Craft and give presentations before and after prototyping new ideas - Communicate and demonstrate prototypes to multi-functional Teams - Demonstrate creativity in problem solving and adapt quickly to new technical areas

Education & Experience

MS with 4+ years, or BS with 5+ years of relevant firmware experience
