Apple Information Security’s Data Science Team is seeking a talented and security conscious Data Scientist to help us keep Apple safe.

Key Qualifications

  • Deep technical skills in data engineering, statistics, machine learning, or deep learning
  • A passion for making these methods rigorous and robust and scalable
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python preferred
  • Experience in the Information Security problem domain
  • Experience working-with/modeling adversarial behavior
  • Experience as data scientist or data analyst
  • Practical experience working with and conducting experiments on very large datasets then turning prototypes into production models
  • Ability to explain and present analyses and machine learning concepts to a broad technical audience
  • Experience in practical software engineering best practices is a plus
  • Real passion for discovering and researching new security controls
  • You are upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude

Description

As a member of the Information Security Data Science Team you’ll work closely with other teams within security to apply data science to Information Security problems. You will: Drive requirements for structured data formats from a wide variety of data sources We build data science products across a wide range of security applications (Information Retrieval, Computer Vision, Anomaly Detection, Natural Language Processing) We Develop models that help keep Apple safe. We work with engineering teams to deployed robust, highly available decisioning and alerting pipelines based on your models. We work with other security teams (penetration testing, incident response, forensics ) to generate labeled data sets, refine models and identify new security use-cases

Education & Experience

PhD in Machine learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
