The Worldwide Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for communication & coordination with Apple Data Center teams, Business Groups & 3rd Party providers to deliver materials and services to meet business objectives. This position requires an authority logistics analyst capable of combining extraordinary analytical capabilities with communication and coordination skills. The role necessitates a highly motivated individual with good communication and customer service skills. This person should demonstrate a successful track record of data analysis, project management, and execution of logistics plans. This position will support infrastructure operations and systemic requirements in order to meet enterprise strategic objectives.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrate validated communication and coordination skills
  • Extensive experience coordinating logistical movements across geographical regions
  • Experienced in engaging Freight and Parcel carriers
  • Understanding of International Shipping Processes & International Compliance requirements, Operations Finance, Cost Metrics, Budgets and Purchase Orders
  • Excellent knowledge of product lifecycle, automation, processes, and operations planning
  • Ability to react quickly to new information, opinion and direction
  • Capable of pulling together many sources of information to help prioritize and lead operations
  • Be an excellent teammate and have experience working extensively with multi-functionally teams
  • Ability to develop positive relationships and partner with Apple Business Groups & other Apple Data Center teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

As a Logistics Coordinator you'll be working in a dynamic, and often ambiguous environment with multiple multi-functional teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT, NOT LIMITED TO: Lead simplification of logistics solutions and processes for shipping / relocating assets. Regular review of allocations to avoid cost, improve utilization and support Data Centers’s ability to deliver within agreed service level agreements Analyzes shipping lanes based on historical and predicted volumes and engage with Freight Desk to control and improve logistical costs. Engage Trade Compliance to resolve import/export issues for shipments between countries/regions. Lead timing with Engineers, Project Managers and/or Customer Business teams on executing movements. Arrange and execute shipment of network, storage and compute assets from vendors to RDC locations, Site to Site transfers, shipments to retail stores and/or administrative Apple facilities. Develop and provide regular reporting and status updates on logistic activities to managers and customers. Execute actions required in Apple systems to facilitate job function (i.e. Central Station, CapPlan Order Tracker). Identify issues & perform Root Cause Analysis to prevent future operational impact Development of productive relationships and partnering with Apple Business Groups & Data Center teams Raise issues to appropriate channels for resolution; keeps management informed of status, schedule, priorities and problems Develop and refine KPI’s to measure operational performance and process compliance.

Education & Experience

Expert level understanding in all Microsoft Office & Apple Software Applications (e.g. Keynote, Numbers etc.) Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain is preferred Experience or aptitude to utilize business/enterprise applications like SAP and FileMaker
