We are looking for an extraordinary QA manager with a strong technical background and understanding of developing automation & related frameworks to lead a fantastic group of QA Engineers who test Health related applications and features. The Apple Health Software team is responsible for all Health related features on watchOS like ECG, Cycle Tracking, Hearing Health & HealthKit, and on iPhone for HealthKit & Health App which encompasses many exciting features including Clinical Health Records. In this role, you will be responsible for developing automation frameworks and tests for all Health features on Apple Watch and iPhone.

Key Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in developing automation.
  • Experience in managing and building teams.
  • Proficiency in Python, Perl and/or shell scripting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Familiarity with iOS, macOS, Unix, and Xcode.
  • Having familiarity of Apple Health features is a plus.

Description

YOUR FOCUS WILL BE THE FOLLOWING: - Hiring extraordinary engineers. - Developing, maintaining and executing plans for automated tests across a variety of Health Features to ensure the highest quality of Health Software before it reaches our customers’ hands. - Developing a plan to automatically triage the automation results by complex parsers for evaluating test results. - Strong Partnering with other managers in the team to prioritize on the automation deliverables. - Collaborating closely with the development teams to ensure we have the right APIs and hooks for developing automation. - Develop automated reporting - Developing automation to test iOS and watchOS under different regions to ensure that functionality is behaving as expected. Automated Testing will comprise of Pre-submission, Functional, Feature, and Regression suites. You will be also be responsible for the development of focused testing strategies, building & tracking high quality bug reports, and reporting on project progress & risk analysis. You will work very closely with the Health Software development, project management and cross-functional QA teams to ensure phenomenal quality for our software. In this role, you would foster an environment that allows your team members to become the voice for the quality of the product, guide them in the design and implementation of test plans, and encourage open communication of potential project risks. You should be at ease working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in which developing and cultivating partnerships with multi-functional teams is key to longterm success. You will need to have a start up mindset, always looking for creative ways to take on problems and increase the team’s impact at Apple.

Education & Experience

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
