Play a key role in engineering and deploying effective audio and video broadcast streaming technologies for Apple’s entire workforce. Partner with other teams to design and implement or improve audio, video, collaboration solutions ranging from simple conference room integrations to multi-camera broadcast facilities. Develop and operate multi-channel broadcast streaming operations from baseband video to HLS delivery to viewer. Strong project management and troubleshooting skills in an audio/video broadcast environment. Provide a solid foundation in AV/VC infrastructure and a track record of implementing and deploying video conferencing, AV, broadcast and streaming solutions. Be involved in the management of overall internal audio/video and broadcast technology and improving the quality of the existing and future related systems used globally at Apple.

Description

Primary Duties: Employee will be responsible for the operational support, engineering and maintenance of the Apple broadcast network infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to SDI routing, video switching, quality control, encoding, and CDN based HLS delivery. Responsible for supporting internal broadcasts including, but not limited to, production support, problem management, reporting, vendor management, asset management, and meeting service level agreements. The employee will play a vital role in the standardization automation and quality control of the Apple Broadcast infrastructure. Team with peer IS&T groups in delivering broadcast services as defined by management. Develop internal staff documents for event analysis, troubleshooting support, network infrastructure documentation and maintenance procedures. Identify, analyze, and drive problems to resolution, handling complex issues while simultaneously while effectively communicating effectively across teams. Responsibilities: Develop positive, internal high quality business relationships to execute broadcast events. Deliver customer service excellence by understanding Apple business, identifying the appropriate technical solutions, and meeting/exceeding service expectations. Identify, analyze, and drive problems to resolution, handling complex issues while simultaneously while effectively communicating effectively across teams. Interact with internal customers to assess broadcast needs and available services appropriate for their event Manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Manage activities and relationships with AV/VC vendors, installers and manufacturers. Prepare data for presentations and end user training material. Provide data analysis, data mining, and metrics reporting. Manage complex IT projects and deliver results on time and on or under budget. Project planning, including budgeting and scheduling, as well as project integration and management. Troubleshoot, resolve and communicate issues and status appropriately during live events.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications or equivalent experience.
