The Employee Communications team is seeking an Editor to support our Global Employee Communications programs. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the voice and tone of communications viewed and read by Apple employees worldwide. Tracking edits from multiple team members, you’ll also be responsible for grammatical and style consistency across all employee communications. You’ll rework headlines and subheads, write captions, and collaborate with the Employee Communications writing team to ensure that copy is accurate and concise. The ideal candidate has experience developing effective communications from related areas. You should be high-energy, proactive, highly organized and able to thrive in a dynamic, complex environment. Clear and concise communication is a requirement. The work is highly collaborative, and the ideal candidate will have worked extensively with designers, writers, and other creative professionals. Creativity and bold ideas are strongly encouraged. You should also have prior experience working across many disciplines. This is an exciting time to be at Apple and tell our story to our employees.

Key Qualifications

  • An accomplished writer/editor with 10+ years experience
  • Significant editorial and proofreading experience at a best-in-class publication, design or financial firm, corporate communications department, or ad agency
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, flexibility, to adaptability, and the ability to focus and prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Creative thinking with a talent for championing and gaining support for new ideas and approaches
  • Firm grounding in U.S. English style (AP Style, Strunk & White, etc.), usage, grammar, and punctuation. Familiarity with standard style and usage guides
  • Experience with a variety of formats (e.g., video, social media), with the ability to identify emerging trends in communications
  • Ability to analyze and communicate results to leaders
  • Excellence at managing deadlines and working effectively with executives and cross-functional teams under strict deadlines
  • Passion for the Apple brand and Apple products

Description

- Edit and proofread Employees Communications copy for multiple programs, functions and geographies - Re-write headlines, subheads, captions, and copy as part of editing and peer review process. - Ensure consistency of the Apple-brand voice across programs and deliverables and carry through edits/key findings from past projects - Help establish editing guidelines for the team and supporting groups

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree, 10+ years of relevant experience
