The Camera Architecture team is responsible for research, design, and specifications for camera hardwares for all future Apple products with cameras. The team is seeking an extraordinary imaging scientist/engineer with responsibilities for supporting future camera simulation.
- Strong Programming skill in C/C++ and familiarity with Matlab and Python
- Expertise with CMOS sensors and imaging technology
- Expertise in multi bracket image processing
- Expertise in video imaging system in the imaging sense not processing
- Experience in data analysis/optimization method
- Experience with general signal/image processing concept
- Experience in Ray tracing/Surface modeling is a plus
- Experience with GPU programming is a plus
- Experience with multi thread programming is a plus
Are you passionate about working on modeling of the real world based upon physical principles? In this role you will be responsible for obtaining/creating input (moving) data to a sophisticated end to end imaging system simulation pipeline. You will immediately work on the building animated input models and model the internal imperfection due to camera moving parts or mis-alignment to enable a more realistic simulation. Phenomenal communication is a key to success as you work with multi-functional teams.
Education & Experience
MSc or PhD (preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, imaging science, optics, graphics or equivalent.
