The Mac Systems Quality Competitive Analysis team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA engineer with excellent analytical and communication skills. In this role you will work cross-functionally to test and optimize performance on all new Mac technologies. We are looking for critical thinkers with strong debug/triage skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies and building/running well thought out experiments. Key Qualifications

  • Experience in test planning, validation, uncovering issues, and driving issues to resolution with engineering teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management
  • Ability to dive deep technically and understand the small technical nuances of a system
  • Coding and scripting experience to support test framework, automation, and tool development (Python, shell preferred)
  • Working knowledge in system performance analysis, computer architecture, and operating system concepts is desired
  • Understanding of statistics is desired


- Collect and present crisp competitive analysis data on Mac and competitor HW - Understand and drive appropriate performance metrics for each system - Present findings to cross-functional teams, including senior management - Collaborate tightly with cross-functional teams on high-profile, critical projects to drive issues and improvements - Identify gaps in test coverage, define new performance tests, and develop automation improvements - Responsible for post-mortem analysis to resolve field issues - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and tools used to gather and analyze performance data

Education & Experience

- BSEE/CS or equivalent experience
