The Enterprise Business Solutions PMO team is responsible for the planning, financial management, and delivery processes of the Enterprise Business Solutions project portfolio and for IT delivery on M&A Integration projects. The team maintains effective portfolio, program, and project management processes and tools and drives consistency across the Enterprise Business Solutions organization. Additionally, the team is accountable for the IS&T track of M&A Integration projects globally, partnering closely with business stakeholders, incoming employees, and IS&T delivery teams to ensure the seamless integration of people and technology into Apple. Members work closely with leadership, project/product managers, business stakeholders, IS&T Capital Planning, finance, and others to keep operating practices aligned with the needs of the organization. The Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Solutions PMO role provides vision and leadership to the team, driving innovation to continuously refine program/project management processes and tools based on the needs of the organization. It supplies thought-leadership and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure IS&T M&A Integration practices keep pace with Apple’s evolving M&A landscape. This role is highly strategic, requiring a strong ability to align diverse teams on a common goal. A blend of business and technical acumen coupled with project management discipline is critical to success.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills with a demonstrable track record of driving/influencing change
  • Deep experience leading a PMO and/or teams of project managers in waterfall and/or Agile environments
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining program/project management standards for technology-based initiatives
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills with an ability to analyze problems across a variety of facets to design holistic solutions
  • Familiarity with technical concepts such as network topologies and cloud services
  • Proficiency with project financial management processes including forecasting/budgeting, procure-to-pay, and reporting
  • Communicates effectively with personnel at all levels (staff to executive) with a strong attention to detail
  • Human relations skills with the ability to coordinate diverse skillsets and personality types
  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities


Provide functional management, including employee development, task management, and performance management, to the Enterprise Business Solutions PMO team Maintain accountability for program/project management standards, processes, reporting, and tools for the Enterprise Business Solutions organization Ensure M&A Integration strategy and practices (e.g. processes, playbooks, status reporting, project documentation) effectively support the current environment and can adapt to emerging needs Maintain accountability for the capital planning and reporting processes for the Enterprise Business Solutions organization Maintain accountability for vendor management standards/processes (e.g. QBR, location diversity, procure-to-pay, reporting) for the Enterprise Business Solutions organization Maintain close partnerships with Corporate Development, IS&T Capital Planning, IS&T Finance, and regional IS&T teams Evaluate complex challenges against a variety of factors and design short and long term strategies Lead process and technology discussions across functionally and regionally disparate groups Engage with support functions such as procurement, vendor management, new product security, and information security to maintain alignment Develop and maintain a working knowledge of trends and best practices within Apple

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred 7-10 years related experience PMP or other project management certification a plus
