- Creative problem solving experience.
- Experience in process development/bring up and qualification.
- Program/project management experience.
- Supplier management experience.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Designs of Experiments, statistical process control methods and theory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin or Korean language skills are a plus but not required).
- Equipment fixture and automation experience is a plus.
- Good command of Excel and JMP.
- A strong team player.
Manufacturing Process Engineer responsibilities include: Review and provide feedback on product design and engineering drawing to reflect the design intent of display component and module. Partner with internal and external cross functional teams to evaluate design and processes at concept phase and set expectations for manufacturing processes. Understand tolerances analysis and GD&T, experience in statistical tolerance analysis techniques. Drive corrective actions cross-functionally with internal and external team members. Drive design experiments to prove out manufacturing processes or design iterations. Perform assignments in several of the following manufacturing engineering functions: Design for Manufacturability - Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable. Process Engineering - Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency. Present technical issues and updates to Apple management team and cross functional team on a frequent basis. Provide creative solutions for engineering challenges or issues related to assembly process International travel to supplier sites, up to 30%.
Education & Experience
BS (MS preferred) in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years experience in Process or Manufacturing.
