In AMP, we ensure the best user experience through world-class apps, editorial, and storefronts. The AMP Metadata Music team is responsible for managing, aggregating, correcting, and connecting metadata to ensure that Apple Music experience matches that of Apple’s world-class customer experience. AMP Metadata Music team is looking for a Music Metadata Lead. As a part of music metadata team, you will be responsible for building scalable processes and partnering with different teams to ensure that we meet our deadlines and deliver the best experience on Apple Music. Key Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience working with music, content metadata, and content management
  • You will be well-versed in Pop culture and passionate about music and media in general
  • An ability to communicate responsibilities and scope clearly and effectively
  • Maintain relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • You'll have a hands-on attitude and able to work cross-functionally within a global organization
  • Results-driven with extraordinary attention to detail, remarkable follow-through, and an ability to focus on customer experience
  • Do you like to analyze content problems with the ability to quickly assess complex situations?
  • You'll work with local business managers, editors and the production team to support key initiatives

Description

In this role you will lead the activity plan, personnel, work, dependencies, and outcome of projects, reporting on progress, while looking ahead to identify upcoming issues and work around them before they impact the project. Run several concurrent projects focused on curating metadata and data validation Handle complex projects to major milestones. You will ensure that execution of the project outpaces deadlines Gather and synthesize project requirements and deliverables Effectively and consistently communicate project goals and provide relevant project updates to all stakeholders You will craft and edit relevant project guidelines and support documents to share with the team. You will identify resources needed and assign individual/team responsibilities to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met Handle the day-to-day aspects of the project and its scope, including possible conflicting priorities You will create and maintain ongoing reporting and analysis for individual projects Identify process improvement areas and propose solutions Work closely with the engineering and development team to implement new features and enhancements. Strong technical skills, knowledge of Tableau and Splunk will be a plus This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team that maintains metadata for Apple Music across various genres, languages, and geographic regions. Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree desired. Plus at least 8 years of experience working with music, content metadata, and content management
