Now there are more than two million. And so our team challenged itself: How can we better support our developers? How do we showcase their innovative work? How can we make the App Store a place hundreds of millions of customers will want to visit every day? We’re hiring people who want to help make that happen. The App Store is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated content strategist and writer to join our worldwide App Store Marketing organization. You will be responsible for creating the vision and implementing strategic plans for delivering scalable guidance supporting the global App Store developer community.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years writing and/or publishing business and marketing content, preferably for a platform or developer ecosystem
  • Strong background in content creation for a variety of channels and formats, such as websites, emails, presentations, white papers, case studies, or other marketing collateral
  • Experience making technical content accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Meticulous writing and editing skills with exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and the ability to quickly master Apple’s communication style
  • Ability to turn around copy quickly, revise and articulate key messages to partners
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, researching, and interviewing skills
  • A strategic thinker with a talent for articulating ideas and presenting work to internal partners
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment
  • Ability to stay self-motivated and accountable to all deadlines
  • Have a deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of products and services, specifically apps and the app marketing ecosystem
  • A dedicated individual who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities

Description

You will work closely with Apple business and marketing experts to define and deliver a content curriculum to help our developer community grow. This involves understanding the needs of the developer ecosystem, including evolving business models, marketing challenges, growth strategies, and the right resources to help them be more successful. You will translate various app industry trends into guidance for our developer community, such as App Store feature overviews, platform guidelines, developer case studies, and more. Formats may include articles, videos, and social media content. The position requires a skilled writer capable of consistently producing high-quality, high-impact work. You will embrace the Apple voice to simplify complex concepts to share with a broad audience. In addition to creating original content, the role also involves editing and proofreading existing materials for clarity and accuracy. You will turn raw notes, ideas, and material into finely crafted pieces of content through collaboration and building close relationships with many cross-functional teams within Apple. You will regularly review major project work with senior leaders to get feedback on direction and to ensure objectives are aligned with business priorities.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
