Key Qualifications

  • An in-depth understanding of display measurement & performance evaluation, display technologies, display module construction, process development and display systems.
  • Excellent project management, communications and teamwork skills required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.


Core Responsibilities: •Investigate best display technologies from potential suppliers. •Define the display module specs for new iPod/iPhone projects. •Lead an internal cross-functional team working with team members with optical, EE, ME, process and panel design expertise. •Manage the display suppliers as the primary technical contact window. •Perform the necessary display testing and review test results from the display vendors, system OEMs, and cross-functional groups at Apple to ensure the performance specifications are met. •Work with the display EE team to review driver validation and related display module performance. •Identify all open engineering issues and drive them to closure in a timely fashion to support project needs. •Ensure display deliverables are met for engineering builds and initial ramp. •Address issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displays. •Work on qualifying additional sources after initial ramp.

Education & Experience

PhD, MS or BS in EE, ME or Physics plus minimum of 3 years of experience, or equivalent.
